Clams in Oyster Sauce (Filipino Style)

Clams, such as Manila or baby clams,taste great cooked in oyster sauce, and make a great Filipino appetizer.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 Onion Chopped
  • 2 Cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 2 inch Piece Fresh Ginger Peeled and grated
  • 2 Tablespoons Razmin Oyster Sauce (Filipino Style)
  • ½ Cup Water
  • Pounds Clams in Shell Scrubbed

Instructions
 

  • Heat the oil in a large pot with a lid over medium heat. Cook the onion and garlic in the hot oil until fragrant, 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Add the ginger to the mixture and cook another 2 minutes.
  • Stir the Razmin Oyster Sauce (Filipino Style) into the mixture; cover and cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Pour the water into the mixture, cover and cook another 2 minutes.
  • Add the clams; cover and cook until the majority of the clams have opened (about 5 minutes).
  • Discard any clams which do not open. Serve immediately.

Stir fried fish fillet and cabbage in Oyster Sauce (Filipino Style) is another easy yet healthy food. Normally the fish fillet comes stir fried together with cabbage, then cooked in oyster sauce.

  • 300 Grams Fish Fillet Cut into serving pieces
  • 1 Bunch Cabbage
  • 1 Onion Chopped
  • 3 Cloves Garlic Crushed
  • 1 Thumb Sized Ginger Thinly sliced
  • ¼ Cup Razmin Oyster Sauce (Filipino Style)
  • 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • Salt To taste
  • Pepper To taste
  • 1 Tablespoon Razmin Sesame Oil Optional

Marinate

  • ¼ Cup Razmin Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • ¼ Cup Corn Starch

Instructions
 

  • Mix Fish, Soy Sauce, Lemon Juice and Corn Starch in a bowl.
  • Marinate for 10 minutes.
  • Heat Oil in a pan and sauté Garlic, Onion and Ginger until golden brown. Drain and set aside.
  • In the same pan, stir fry Fish for 5minutes or until tender. Drain and set aside.
  • In the same pan, stir fry Cabbage and add toasted Garlic, Onion and Ginger. Cook for 1 minute.
  • Add stir-fried Fish, Oyster Sauce (Filipino Style), Sesame Oil, Salt and Pepper. Mix well.
  • Transfer to the serving dish then serve immediately.
